Wherever practicable, I will charge a fixed fee for all Notary Public services, however, I reserve the right to increase my charges if a matter becomes more complex or protracted than initially expected.
The fee charged includes time spent on preliminary advice, drafting and preparation time, making and receiving telephone calls, correspondence written and received in all formats, arranging legalisation and record keeping.
My fixed fees for some of the most common Notary Public acts are as follows;
- 1 page document (already prepared by Client/Solicitor) e.g. Proof of Alive, certify certificate, I.D etc. £150.00
- Power of Attorney (already prepared by Client/their Solicitor): £200.00
- Apostille Fee (to include arranging + FCO fee): £85.00 (courier fees are charged separately)
- Consent to Travel – to prepare: £400.00 if prepared: £200.00
- Marriage Declaration (with template provided by Tour Operator): £300.00
All other documents and Notary Public services will be charged at my hourly rate of £300 per hour plus disbursements with a minimum fee of £150.00 plus disbursements.
If I am unable to provide you with a fixed quote or if I expect to exceed my quote, I will discuss and agree this with you before any work/further work is carried out.
I do not charge VAT.
I will not commence any Notary Public work for you until;
- I have provided you with a fixed fee quote or best estimate of my expected fees; AND
- You have accepted my quote in writing
Payment of my fee and disbursements is due when the document has been prepared which I may retain pending payment in full.
I require full payment before I will release the notarised documents(s) to you or a third party and/or before obtaining legalisation.
Payment by bank transfer is preferred. Bank details will be provided for payments.
In exceptional circumstances and by prior agreement, payment can be made by cheque made payable to “Nicola C Pluck – Notary Public”.
I do not usually accept card payments or cash.
